Hi! I’m Jeanette,

The first time I ever wrote a short story, I was six years old. I'd filled a blank notebook with semi-coherent words about two faeries that overcame their fundamental differences and became best friends. This was followed by an elaborate mini-series about a little girl who was loosely based off myself, except she had a bunch of giant fish for some reason. Now, at twenty-four, I still write characters based vaguely off myself and my experiences, although they own significantly less giant fish.

I've dabbled in creative nonfiction, poetry, and professional writing, but fiction is where my passion skyrockets. I aspire to become a published author someday, writing cutesy rom-coms where everything inexplicably works out in the end, or maybe tragic fantasy books, where absolutely nothing works out in the end. It depends on my mood. Regardless, I love writing about everything, likely because I have the habit of talking so much . . . proven by this lengthy bio.

Currently, I am trudging my way through my Master's of Arts in Creative Writing (Fiction-focused), while working full-time as a Social Media Manager for a small business. After graduating in December 2025, I plan to apply for jobs in the editing and publishing fields, as well as submit freelance writing and photography.
